I can’t be the only one that had no idea! I’d hate to admit how many times I’ve tried to separate @legos with my nails, teeth and even a kitchen knife. I’m new to this Lego world because my daughter just got big into them this year but I am mind blown with this little tool. It’s no wonder most packs bring one 😂

When my family bought Belle’s Cottage in Disney’s Golden Oak, we got the opportunity to decorate all but 1 of the bedrooms. The downstairs and master bedroom were fully furnished but the rest of the house was not. My mom and I started brainstorming and decided to theme each of the other rooms individually.

Winnie the Pooh seemed to just fit that first room with so much beautiful woodwork and wood tones. @artisaninc_ came in to do all of the hand painting and truly brought our vision to life.

Bambi’s forest was just a perfect fit for the bunk room. With all of the wood beams and distressed shiplap, the room just felt like a forest. We added Bambi & Thumper, as well as lots of flower garlands. Going with the forest feel, we added Chip & Dale in the attached bathroom.

My bedroom is Belle’s Room. This room already had that beautiful wall and a quote from Beauty and the Beast painted above the bed. Being Belle’s Cottage it was only fitting we had a room themed after just Belle.

The last is our guest house which we call the Princess Quarters. Here there’s tons of princess details throughout… from the art, to the hand painting (done by @artisaninc_ again), to the decor. This is a little home truly built for a princess.

We received some gifts this week at our home in Golden Oak that I’m so excited to share! One of my favorite Disney artists @domcorona sent us a piece for our collection, that’ll match perfectly in the 3rd floor reading room/playroom. Charlie and I each got 2 new headbands from @chroniclesofapixie… she makes my favorite headbands. And the @tonies.us is actually something I bought for Charlie but I know she’ll be super excited for it because she loves her Toniebox so much. Side note, I only accept gifts if it’s an item I would buy myself, so these are truly things I love and I’m so grateful to receive. ❤️

Halloween is only 6 weeks away and I still haven’t decided on costumes for this year, which is so unlike me! So if you haven’t decided yet either, here’s some inspiration from our past years. With Charlie’s crazy schedule during the week, I always look forward to our weekends for some quality time. One of our favorite ways to start our Saturday mornings is with a dance party at home! We recently discovered Growing Up Country Vol 1 and we’ve had it on repeat. Charlie’s favorite song is this one, Shake your boots by @raelynnofficial. We haven’t stopped dancing all morning!

I highly recommend starting your weekend with a dance party with your kids… it gets everyone ready for an extra fun weekend. You can find Growing Up Country - a family friendly album featuring some of Nashvilles most talented singers- on Spotify & Apple Music.

Welcome to The Traveling Red! With so many new followers, I figured it was a good time to reintroduce myself to all of you and share what you can expect from my page. I share a variety of aspects of my life, but I promise to always keep it a happy space. I wish to inspire parents to travel with their children. It is such a beautiful world with so much to see!

I share lots tips and tricks for Disney, for traveling with your kids in general and fun ideas for families. You can expect to see a lot of Golden Oak and bus life, which are my two of my favorite things.

I also share more information on how to turn your social media into a business and become an influencer on my subscription, if that’s something you’re interested in. In there I include more Golden Oak behind the scenes, insight for planning trips and just a more one-on-one tailored experience where I can work with you personally. I live by these words everyday! My daughter goes everywhere with me… on every adventure, every trip, and even most date nights. Since she was tiny she went everywhere with us and she got used to it. I love spending time with her and couldn’t imagine doing it any other way 🥰

✨ SAVE this if you’re planning a Disney trip ✨
Genie+ and Individual Lightning Lane are amazing if you know how to use them. Stacking rides is the way to go, and this is how you do it…

1- At 7 AM, book your first Genie+ ride (start with the most popular ride) and you can buy your Individual Lightning Lane at this time as well.
2- Set an alarm for 2 hours after the park opens. At that time you can book your next ride. Continue to select the most popular rides as they become unavailable first. Return times can be modified for Genie+, so if the return time is too early still book it and then modify it later.
3- Set an alarm for every 2 hours after that. You can book another ride 120 minutes after your previous selection, even if you haven’t used any of them.
4- Arrive at the park in the afternoon with a bunch of rides already stacked. You’ll spend less hours in the park, avoid the heat and still ride everything you want.

This is the basics but there’s tons of tip and tricks for using Genie+ and Individual Lightning Lane. I have a blog post sharing everything you need to know (link in bio). Trust me I have this system down to a science. I’ve used it at least 40 different times at this point and we always ride a ton! People complain about the system because they don’t know how to use it… I promise you, it’s amazing!
