Valentine’s Day is one of the holidays I really love and since we’re spending more time at home than ever, I just had to decorate for it. Unlike Christmas, I decided to keep it simple. I need to fit all of this stuff into 1 bin after Valentine’s Day is over lol. After so much red throughout my house for Christmas, I decided to go with soft pastels and lots of pinks instead of red. Most of my decor is from Target, Walmart, Hobby Lobby and a few pieces from HomeGoods.
On the other side of the kitchen I went with a simple white heart wreath from Target and a LOVE sign I found at Walmart. I think I’m going to paint the heart pink, just haven’t gotten around to it yet.
By the front door I used a bunch of fun pieces from Target and Hobby Lobby along with some fresh flowers to create a little bright section of fun.
I couldn’t stop without adding a little splash of Valentine’s Day decor to Charlie’s room, but I kept it super simple. A fun pillow from Target, a few cute kids decorations on her table and shelves and that’s it.
On Valentine’s Day last year I had guest over and set the cutest (& simplest) dining room table using a super simple square glass vase from the dollar store and some plastic white trays also from the dollar store, along with sweetheart candies, some votive candles and roses. It’s the easiest setup ever! For the roses you need 2 vases. You set the smaller one inside the larger one and the the candies fill all the space between the 2 vases. This allows you to put water for the roses in the center vase and saves you a ton of candies you would have needed to fill it up otherwise. I also had some pretty sweetheart candy decorations on sticks that I found at Hobby Lobby, so I added those at the ends.
Last, but certainly not least, is a little bit of fun decor for Charlie’s playhouse that we made over. This is the decor from last year. I haven’t gotten around to do it yet this year, but I will. It’ll probably look a little different than last year, so I’ll add it here when I get to it.
Hope this has inspired you to decorate for Valentine’s Day! Please share with me if you recreated any of my setups. I would love to see it. Happy LOVE day friends!
