How is it November already? We had so much fun celebrating Halloween this year that I felt the need to do a round up of all my favorite pictures and memories of all things Halloween 2020. We spent the entire month celebrating and wearing costumes. Don’t judge us! It’s been a rough year and we had lots of extra time stuck at home.
We started with some Halloween decor around the house, even a Halloween decorated playhouse out back. We got dressed up more days than I can count and we definitely bought more costumes than necessary, but I wouldn’t change a thing because we enjoyed it all so much.
Here are my favorite Halloween memories of 2020 split up into categories…
DECOR
I decorated most of the house in traditional Fall decor, except for a few areas. The family room was all black and “so spooky” as Charlie would say and her room had some details that tied in with her pink decor. Also, our front was all about Halloween. I had some ghosts and some bats in our trees, as well as a cute skeleton in Charlie’s swing on a tree out front.
PLAYHOUSE
My home wasn’t the only home decorated… Charlie’s playhouse was decorated too! We turned it into a spooky Hocus Pocus witches house.
COSTUMES
We had more costumes than should be allowed, but we had so much fun with it. Charlie dressed up almost daily the month of October and I’m not mad about it. Most of the costumes were super simple and just accessories, so they’ll remain part of her dress up bin for later. By the way, she’s been loving “spooky” costumes, so most of them are not your traditional girly costumes you’d expect to see on a toddler girl.
HALLOWEEN FUN
The whole month of October was full of Halloween activities. We got to see tons of Halloween decor (she even became best friends with a witch at my parents house), we went to a Haunted House at a friends and we shot a super fun campaign for Amazon promoting their Halloween experience.
HALLOWEEN NIGHT
On Halloween we were the cast of Alice in Wonderland and Charlie was the star of it. Her favorite characters are Tweedledee and Tweedledum so we dressed up as them. My brother then surprised us and showed up dressed as the Mad Hatter and even brought a Mr Rabbit costume for my dad and a Cheshire Cat costume for my mom. Charlie was so happy and loved having us all dressed up. We trick or treated at a few houses in my neighborhood before it started raining on us. Then we headed to my parent’s neighborhood to trick or treat there, but the rain followed us. We only made it to 2 homes, but their decorations were amazing! It was a great Halloween that we’ll never forget.
Halloween was so much fun and Charlie is already upset that the “halloween stuff” (halloween decorations in front of homes) are gone, but onto Christmas. Hopefully there will be lots of Christmas decor soon. Can’t lie, I can’t wait til Halloween 2021!
