I love seasonal decor and Easter is in my top 3 favorite holidays to decorate for. All of the bunnies, flowers and pastel colors make me so happy. I tend to focus on filling up specific areas instead of decor all around the house. Certain spaces don’t get any seasonal decor and that’s ok. At the end of each season I have to fit everything into a couple of bins for storage (except for my big piece that I love so much but I regret it every time I have it put it away).
My decor is usually focused on the common spaces and my daughters room. My dining room gets a beautiful tablescape and I add a few details like a pillow on the bench across from it and a banner on the mirrors. My living room gets a few details and my large bunnies. My kitchen always gets the most because I love to fill up my long shelves with holiday decor. My family room gets a couple pillows and some decor on the side table. Finally my daughters room gets a banner on her bed and some fun decor on her shelves. Let me show you space by space….
KITCHEN EASTER DECOR
My kitchen always has the most decor because I have the long wood shelves that are the perfect place for seasonal touches. I also love adding a seasonal wreath to my range hood. I just use a command strip to hold it up. I add a few more details in my glass cabinets and a little sign behind my cooktop. Here’s how my kitchen came together this year.
DINING ROOM DECOR
My dining room is my new favorite space to decorate. I always left my table empty except for a centerpiece, but after seeing it set during Christmas I fell in love and decided to keep it up for each holiday. I avoid glassware and silverware because I’m the mom of a 4 year old, but otherwise the table is set and I absolutely love the cozy feeling it gives the house. Here is how it came out…
GIRLS ROOM DECOR
My daughters room always gets seasonal decor too, but I keep it really simple. Usually it’s a pillow on her rocker, a banner on her loft bed and some pieces for her shelving unit over her chair. I found the cutest Easter kids decor at Target and couldn’t resist so this time her shelf is full of Easter instead of just a couple details. Take a look….
LIVING ROOM & FAMILY ROOM DECOR
I don’t do a whole lot in my living room and family room but I love how these little areas turn out so here is a quick look at what I added…
OUTDOOR PLAYHOUSE DECOR
The final space I love to decorate although it’s only temporary (because it always rains in Miami) is my daughter’s outdoor playhouse. It is basically the backdrop of all of her holiday photos and I love how I have been able to watch her grow through these photo shoots. I always change the number on the door to match her age. We haven’t done her Easter shoot this year yet, but here are our photo’s from the previous 2 years, ages 2 and 3.
