This year I’ve gone a little Christmas crazy! We are home much more than we’ve ever been and Charlie is 3 now, so she is all about Christmas. I’ve decorated more than ever and I just had to share it with you. Overall, I went with traditional white and red with some metal tones throughout. In Charlie’s room, I stuck to pink and some turquoise to match her pink and white room.
What better way to tell you all about my decor, than to show you. Here’s what I did this year.
ENTRANCE
First up is the entrance. Every entrance needs a little decor. I am planning to add some Poinsettia and some larger outdoor decor after Thanksgiving, but my door mat is already out. My doormat is from Amazon and you can buy it here. A lot of the decor is from Homegoods so I can’t link it, but the stems are available from Target and so is my Santa coffee mug and my Santa slippers.
As soon as you enter my house, I added a little holiday spirit to the bench by the front door. Just a few pillows, a banner and a gnome is all it took to make it super festive. My Merry Christmas banner is from Target, as are my Merry square pillows and the red Christmas scene lumbar pillow.
DINING ROOM
I love keeping my dining room very white and grey so I stuck with simple trees, a house and some deer to add some holiday decor without changing up the look too much. All of these items are from Homegoods so I can’t link them for you.
LIVING ROOM
This is the most festive part of my home always. My Christmas tree will go here, but I want until after Thanksgiving because I buy a real one and they aren’t really available yet. My Christmas tree will go where my fiddle leaf fig tree is and I will have to find it a new spot. Since I don’t have a fireplace (it’s never cold in Miami), I put my stockings on my buffet table. Most of the items are from Homegoods, but my stockings are from Pottery Barn Teen a few years ago. They no longer have them. The items still available are my stocking holders the house and the church from Target, my off white lanterns from Amazon, the berries stem is from Target and so is the festive pine stem.
FAMILY ROOM
This space is fairly simple to make super festive. A bunch of pillows, a red throw or two and a few little decorations. I have some Grinch collection pillows also from Pottery Barn Teen to match my stockings. The grinch pillow and Dear Santa I can Explain pillow are still available. The rest of my decor and throws are from Homegoods.
KITCHEN
Now that I have new shelves in my kitchen, I just had to decorate them! Nevermind that I finally finished decorating them the week before decorating for Christmas. Anyway, lots of fun Christmas decor on the shelves and a few pieces on the countertop, mixed in with a couple little details in the window, a wreath on my hood and my school bus that I just had to buy but didn’t have a spot, ended up on my cooktop. The items still available are my silver tree candle from Target, my Santa mug from Target, and my gold wreath also from Target.
CHARLIE’S ROOM
Last, but certainly, not least is Charlie’s bedroom. I still haven’t finished her room, I want a pink pillow for her chair and I can’t find one I like anywhere, but her Christmas tree is finally done and I love it! I bought her this Christmas tree from Target, a gold star tree topper from Target, a bunch of ornaments (mermaid, princess cat and gnome) and if you’ve been watching my stories on Instagram, we also got a switch that turns on her Christmas tree.
I will be finishing Charlie’s room, adding to my front porch and putting up my Christmas tree in the next week or two, so check back for some updates. I can’t wait to finish decorating for Christmas.
